^ That line gave me chills the first time I heard it. There are a lot instances on this album that that happened because of the vocals

Don't really give a shit about "christ" or "core" being a descriptor in regards to music.

I'm looking forward to hearing the one about decapitating a rapist. Odd to say.

Gonna definitely look for a leak, and get a hard copy once it's out.

What about Claws of a God, Chewing the stitch, The Marriage of Steel and Skin.

I just read that Dealers of fame was about the Russian Psychopaths (the 2 boys who ran around Russia killing people, for fun)

Christ core or what ever you want to call it, the messages of the song (to me, someone who doesn't believe in all the god stuff ) is there are fucked up people in the world.

some of the songs are getting whole new meanings to me, making them just so much more enjoyable then they already were.

also, CD is a mad grower.

ps, I love you to Mims, Miss me? ;)

Double post - Mims, the song about decapitating a rapist ( True story again ) is Marriage of Steel and Skin.

Good jam.

Amazing album. I still prefer WIAG, but there are quite a few excellent songs on here.

As an Atheist, I find this far more accessible than SOTM, as it refrains from absolutely smothering the listener in religious meaning like SOTM did.

Good review. I love this album so fucking much. Lyrics are some of the best I've ever heard, vocals are absolutely charged with fury and anguish, guitars and drumming are just sick. I think I found my album of the year. Oh, and I don't think WIAG has shit on this one.

I listened to it yesterday (this the first album by them that I had a chance to listen to). And I must say that it's really awesome. As a fan of the new Underoath, I must say that Oh, Sleeper is following UO's path, which is a great thing.

Yeah this is a fantastic album.

I read this review on another site: http://lmpmagazine.com/2011/08/29/music-oh-sleeper-children-of-fire-review/#comment-1063

Particularly the second one made me laugh my head off

"OH, SLEEPER, which is releasing Children Of Fire this month, is a band I would lump together with the likes of ATREYU, SLIPKNOT and UNDEROATH"

Intro metal bands #101

^ The second review on that site was pretty funny. If he can't tell the songs on this album apart he really shouldn't be reviewing the album. Comparing this band to Slipknot is also very lol-worthy.
