Anthology is indeed quite good. Words In The Water rules as well.

"As much as I'm digging the new album, I'm almost disappointed that isn't THE final thing they went out with anymore."
That's definitely how I feel too. I always said if they ever came back from hiatus, they should just stick to touring because they went out on the absolute highest note they could have and that would be a wonderful memory to preserve. Instead, they came back and released one of their least impressive records yet.

Totally agree

I've always thought it was amazing, more specifically on their last 3 records that they're a "by the numbers" sounding band a bit that absolutely doesn't fall into any category resembling 'generic'. Chevelle is another band that strikes me this way, though I feel Thrice is a much superior band but both rule

"generic alt rock"
Familiar-sounding but well-done alt rock ya man I agree
|
| |
generic doesnt mean bad btw
|
| |
i mean in modern connotations it basically means there's nothing unique or outstanding about the product so it's definitely derogatory to a degree
and yeah, this is generic

It annoys me that this is the highest rated Thrice album post-Vheissu on here, since it's the worst from that era.
