Debating if I should just listen to the digital download or wait for my physical copy. The anticipation...

Black Honey is just so good

what makes 1 and 2 stand out so much is the water disc, specifically night diving

the atmosphere night diving gives off is unreal

I'm on Blood On the Sand right now and the production still reminds me of this a lot so far but they definitely feel more alt-rocky than ever
Definitely well executed but this it's kind of weird that they went from kind of being almost too artsy for their own good to being... borderline Seether-y.

The best part of all three tracks I've listened to so far has been the last twenty seconds or so and every single one of them had the same sort of clever slapbacky production trick on the vocals during one of the soft spots
Not even mad

Wake Up's chorus is just the worst shit tho

This sort of reminds me of this album in that pretty much every song starts off kind of basic and I'm worried that I'll hate it but then they pull out a sense of melancholy later in the track that gives it far more meaning
The Long Defeat is a literally perfect example of that

It's not the best song on the album or anything, but I really don't see the problem with Wake Up.

It's chorus and Stay With Me's is just the most generic stuff ever
Probably won't ever listen to those two again

Wake Up is pretty cool until the chorus but yeah definitely not their best chorus. Stay With Me is fine but probably the weakest song on the album

The ending of Whistleblower and the closer end the album so strongly

The last two songs are fantastic.
This is a strong 4.5; granted, this is my favorite band so it's no surprise that I dig their sound, but this has some of the best tracks they've ever written. Got chills when the melody from Hurricane played at the end of Salt and Shadow.

I thought TBEITBN was better than this but then I gave this a listen right after that one and this one just sounds much more refined all around.

Listened to Anthology [the album] today and Anthology [the song] gave me chills.
As much as I'm digging the new album, I'm almost disappointed that isn't THE final thing they went out with anymore.

"Words In The Water is amazing"
It's pretty great agreed. One of the stronger tracks here
