I write most of mine between 450 and 700 words, at points this pushes double the word count.

i want to pos since i thought i was the only person who doesn't like this album. but review is too long-winded and i have to disagree with a few points. the choir in Dark/Light is the only part of the first half where you suddenly wake up and realize you're listening to music. (besides the tedious first track)

a Pretty Ridiculous review i might say , if you claim to know John Frusciante you should have been looking for the real "concept" in the lyrics , which is without any doubt , a brilliant musician fed up with the rockstar life , wanting to go on his own way , explaining himself to his fans and mostly to his bandmates , in this case , Flea , Kiedies and Smith , doing that so emotionally because he already ditched them once. Try listening to "Central" once again after that been said .. you obviously missed all that , therefor your review equals , well , Zero . and as for "ripping off" music , Aids , really ? John frusciante doesnt give a f*ck , he proved it many times before , he is not ashamed to be influenced by music he adores , e.g "Can't Stop" intro. this is one of the best albums ever made by a musician who is probably one of the greatest of his generation.
