absinthe is expensive stuff and probably isn't worth your money
and no, i haven't experienced any hallucinogenic effects when drinking it, i believe it's just part of the "appeal"
as tommy said it justs fucks you up much faster than most drinks do, did some shots after a heavy pound drinks night out with my flatmates and watched one slide gradually closer to the floor where he passed out 5 minutes later, was p funny, we had to fireman's lift him to bed
