really nothing that I haven't heard before
album's 11 years old though. i know that in and of itself doesn't mean anything, but it sounds so much more free form than his later stuff that i simply adore it.
i get why someone would like 'dial m' more, but this as a 2.5 makes just no sense to me

Has nothing to do with stuff that's come out since, even stuff prior to this. This is much more big beat influenced than his more trip hop stuff, and as such I can't help but compare this to Funki Porcini, Skalpel and Xploding Plastix as well

i heard a bit of xploding plastix before and this has a completely different aesthetic to me. the way it floats around without being confined to any kind of beat is what allows it to slowly play around with my head. mmm suuch a good album

i don't hear confined at all here sorry. he's certainly not about to explode on listeners with a drop or anything, but that's not the point. the fact that it's a bit more stripped down makes it so easy on the ears it soothing. when's the last time you heard this anyhow?
