I think yes, this should be at a 4 at least. I love this shit.

I actually think this is one of their best. I just love the lyrics...and the first half of the album, in particular, is phenomenal

I just see this as far too melodramatic. I don't mind someone going over the top, but this comes off
to me as bitchy more than it does genuinely anguished and tortured. Really whiny and over-dramatic
angst mixed with really polished production doesn't ever really work well in my opinion. Also, this
really seems like a one-way venting session to me. His problems that he's talking about are so
specific to only him personally that they don't give any flexible room for me to relate, and it
doesn't really even give me a reason to care about his issues. I feel like his therapist when I'm
listening to this album, like he just immediately expects me to care, rather than being able to
identify and vent along with him. That's just my opinion though, I really don't like it at all, I
feel as though it gives a self-important impression. The way he blends his varying influences into
the album's sound is beyond uneasy to me as well.

Yeah I know I said "really" a lot in that. Really.

See, I haven't given them the biggest chance yet since I am just starting to listen to their albums in full, but this is sounding like a band that would involve picking / choosing songs rather than sitting down with one of their full albums. Songs like "Independently Happy" and "The Feel Again (Stay)" are absolutely phenomenal, but the albums as whole either begin to drag or have some very awkward spots. The lead singer is wonderful, regardless

The Flight is one godawful song.

This is awful.

Songs like "Independently Happy" and the Answer tho... Damn they were good in the beginning.

Yeah. I wouldn't say this album is bad, but it's a bit silly at parts. Come on, The Feel Again is wonderful

I don't expect anyone else to like this album but it's an easy 5 for me. One of my favorites. They threw out the rules of their sound, and sure the lyrics get a bit silly at times but I haven't found a single fuck to give in the three and a half years that I've been listening to this album

Not my favorite from them at all, though it is better than Approaching Normal. Check out some of their earlier work Feather, it's great.

Yea, this is actually a pretty great album in my opinion.. Most bands in the same camp as Blue October don't seem to take as many risks as this album does.. I can understand why someone wouldn't like this though.
