"Well I suppose Australia is usually a country where stuff is released after most countries so its only fair its released there earlier..."

Actually, quite to the contrary. We tend to get stuff earlier than the states do more than what you'd expect, as do some European contries.

Good review, don't think I'm going to venture beyond Shogun though.

Shogun is really the only Trivium I've heard, it was alright, but I doubt I'll pick this up.

Great review, iPod. I managed to see it this time! :P

And say what you will about Trivium, but their live energy is pretty damn great.

don't have a good feeling about this, Shogun seemed like they were on the right track...

Nice review Ipod. I severely doubt this is worth a 4 though and damn it's long as fuck. Maybe I'll give it a more thorough go, maybe not, but it's nowhere near the upper portion of my list of stuff to check out.

And I agree, if you trim this review up a bit (you haven't edited this yet, I can see, as the few good suggestions some leaved haven't been implemented yet), you might even get a feature for this.

"dude this band has always lacked the thrash"

Shogun was thrashy

The Crusade was mainstream thrashcore

Shogun was them maturing from Ascendancy, I like to pretend The Crusade doesn't exist.

Yeah, I really wish Trivium finally ditched the cheesy ballad sing-a-long stuff and made a balls to

the wall heavy album. Alas, it seems to be held as an integral part of their sound by the members. I

really should be giving this a 3, maybe 3.5, but ive been a fan boy since the age of 12....

Thrashcore? Do you even know what you're talking about? And Shogun didn't emphasize their thrash influences at all, what album were you listening to?
