only complaint here is that side a is too fleeting. if only the entire album was ambient-ish. but be my wife is too good.

Side A has a lot of flaws on Low. Side B is a 5/5

Side A is like a 3.5/5...

I would say start with Ziggy but to be honest It's never done too much for me.

I can't believe I'm gonna recommend a best of but maybe do that and see which era stands out most. You can't go wrong if it's 70's bowie

i find Side A of Heroes stronger than Side A of this, mainly due to the title track being a monster. but slightly prefer Low overall.

dig Heroes though. seen people rip on Secret Life Of Arabia as a closer and for not fitting with the mood but I love that song. Side B there has nothing quite as good as Warszawa or Subterraneans.

Secret Life rules so hard, never heard of anyone hating on it. But yeah Subterraneans >

seen some people trash it for being out of place on that side of the album. cos those are pretty bleak instrumentals. but i love it as a closer.

i dig Neukoln and Moss Garden a lot. as WhiteNoise said, can't go wrong with 70s Bowie.

The contrast is what makes it so brilliant, you got 15-20 minutes of absolute post-apocalyptic bleakness (well not V-2 Schneider so much but the rest are y'know) and then Secret Life just bursts in with its glorious upbeatness and its like, only Bowie could do that

Moss Garden is su-fucking-perb

totally agree ^ the vibe kinda jumps around. Sense Of Doubt is bleak (and I think the weakest cos of the recurring 4 note theme). Neukoln is like the end of the world. Moss Garden is relaxing, V-2 ambiguous and an awesome way to start Side B. Secret Life is fun and handclaps. but it works really well. Neukoln is really great but it'd be a bummer of a closer.
