Yeah me too, hoping for more of those weird highs he does, dig that shit hard.

Seriously, vocally I can't think of many who are more versatile.

I'd call him the Japanese equivalent of Mike Patton.

Except Patton can't do high screams that sound like a dude being bulldozed in the balls.

I've heard they're immense live, I've yet to see them. They only do london dates, but I'm gonna have to make an expection and see them next time they're here.

I travelled down there to catch em, was during the tour for this album, it ruled but Kyo was struggling at times.

Ahh, you'll have caught him when he wasn't doing so good? When I watched the tour2011 dvd there were some bits -england included- where his voice just broke to fuck. haha

I hear no core really, maybe in some places but hardly enough to consider it to be Deathcore.

Most of the heavy parts feel like straight up death metal more than anything.

@Big

Their brutal parts are for the most part uninspired and been there done that. Even though I love amon, like a throw back to early 90s death metal.

Is it weird that I lump these guys in with Blut Aus Nord and DeathSpell Omega?

I s'pose it is a bit strange yeah haha.

To me there aren't any bands that sound similar to these guys and that's not because they are Japanese, just before

anyone flames.

the fact that I dont know what they saying only makes it better. I lump them in with Deathspell and blut because those bands have that dark(like psycho dark, not beautiful dark), mystical, atmosphere with aggressive tendencies.

Due to the vocals it takes me places where most bands can't, I agree about understanding the lyrics too.
