Bowie had a knack for releasing amazing singles.
Heroes, Space Oddity, Rebel Rebel and Moonage Daydream automatically spring to mind.

Not enough people talk about how this album's two greatest tracks - "Life on Mars?" and "Queen Bitch" - are used perfectly in Wes Anderson's THE LIFE AQUATIC, when Steve is stoned, walking alone on the bow of his ship after learning about his son, and during the closing credits, when Steve's "adventure" more or less comes full circle, respectively.

Would be a hard agree if RUSHMORE didn't exist and make me tear up just from envisioning its perfect final scene in my head. TLA definitely #2 though.
'presumably they would have to have seen it in order to talk about that'
Is Wes Anderson not as "popular" with mainstream moviegoers as I'm envisioning in my head? Maybe my assumptions about him are misguided.
