Head is a Flame definitely sounds like something MGMT would make.

They need to calm down with making pretty good albums. Maybe if they saved up their best songs for a couple years, they could make a great one.

I agree, there's nothing exactly wrong with these songs, in fact, the most flawed are still lovely to hear, but they do feel watered down by an indescribable threat.
