His lyrics are justified in all honesty. Whats being said in these comments would anger me as well. Put yourself in his shoes, and by the way the whole "Him kicking the band members out because of ticket sales." Is a rumor that was started by 'PupFresh'. Lets not try and believe everything we see on the internet. ;) As for the album I find most of the songs on this album too be rather enjoyable. His story is a fascinating one and it is interesting to listen too. There are a few let downs such as: Caught Like a Fly, and the Westerner. However, songs like The Drug in Me is You, Goodbye Graceful, and Sink or Swim are redeeming qualities. The guitar solos are good what they lack in technicality, Jacky makes up with speed and believe it or not he does a great job. The drummer is amazing, providing backing vocals and screams as well as playing catchy beats. Bass players are pointless in Post-Hardcore bands, but they seem to make good use of their bass player which is a redeeming quality within its self since most bass players are pushed too the side. Rhythm guitar is replaceable, as he doesn't really stand out by any means, but he isn't awful either.

Look. I only have one opinion about this dude. He came to some crossroad in his life and said "I'm gonna throw all my potential away and make self indulgent music." His voice has gotten worse... I can't explain it. He has more range nowadays but his vocals are too clean and lost all emotion. His lyrics were never a strong point but they are so much worse now... Note all of the hooks that start with "ohhhhhhhhhh." Everything he writes seems to be about him. It's like he hasn't changed at all. Maybe he isn't as "angry" as he used to be because he just bottled that shit up and every time he records a song... He spills that big bottle of hate all over his lyrics. It's disappointing because I liked that first Escape the Fate album. Not because it was technically amazing or anything.... It was just earnest and full of energy. Oh well

Are you seriously that thick? Where do I even start on that statement, there is so much wrong with it.

'His lyrics are justified'

I'm going to go ahead here and state an entire song that has nothing justifiable about it, 'Good girls bad guys'.

It's entirely about him not being able to control his wang and going out of his way to try and pick up chicks and doing the typical stereotype of a good guy impression, put some niceness into women and expect sex out of it.

His story is often overexaggerated in my opinion, seeming as it was out of his own aspect he was put into jail. He then goes on to blame his old band (ETF) for leaving him in prison and continuing on with their own career. Having him still in the band would make it harder for them to leave the states, as seen by FIR pulling out of soundwave 2013 due to passport problems with Ronnie.

'The drummer is amazing, providing backing vocals and screams as well as playing catchy beats'

By this statement i'm going to say you haven't had much experience in other assortments in the post-hardcore genre, there are many other drummers out there that can do much more effective fill ins and keep a steady beat on the drums, providing the background for keeping the tempo and allowing the other muscians to shine in the spotlight, whilst being able to retain some of it behind their gargantuan instruments.

"...they seem to make good use of their bass player which is a redeeming quality within its self since most bass players are pushed too the side. Rhythm guitar is replaceable, as he doesn't really stand out by any means, but he isn't awful either."

Now this, this is completely unjustified. This to me completely reduces the credibility of the statements you make earlier. Making use of a bass player is not a redeeming quality, many people make use of a bass player. They get them to play bass. Surprisingly, that is making use of them. Making effective use of the bass player on the other hand is completely dictated on the bass player themselves.

Rhythm guitar is replaceable? Rhythm guitar is the only reason that the lead guitarist can attempt to do fancy things, harmonization riffing etc. Jacky Vincent does not take advantage of this enough and just chugs along with the rhythm guitarist a fair amount, which is Derek Jones' fault.

Overall I think your views are stupid and hard to back up, but you're more than welcome to attempt to pursue your own thoughts. But I still think you're a complete fucktard and need to listen to more music before defending a shithouse album
