pianos become the teeth is still better but this is pretty bangin'

vocals like these turn me off pretty much instantly
|
| |
vocals are too up front in the mix. shame because the guitar work is fantastic. maybe it just needs some more time

oh right thanks I was checking on the bandcamp page.
Well this is disappointing, guitar is pretty boring at times... Last leaf is really good though.

Drags on a bit at points but this is by no means a bad album. Ironically I think some of the weakest vocal performances are on the demo songs (aside from these roots, these branches) but I guess that makes sense as they were likely recorded first.

Improvements needed:
- Needs some more varied vocals. Seems too bland.
- Production lacks some stuff.
- ...That's kind of it.
EDIT: Okay, I change my mind about two. It sounds fine, it's just that I can't hear the bass that well. No biggie.

Vocals are just too far up in the mix I think, and he has a tendency to follow through a bit too long with his screams during the soft parts. I think the bass tone has some issues - too much treble on it or something. That said, even with the somewhat repetitive song structure, I still find this highly enjoyable and refreshingly melodic.

I don't think so. But I guess I can see why you would, it almost sounds a little country-y (very twangy guitar riff). I don't mind though, it's a strange and refreshing thing to see in the context of a post-hardcore album.
