This is a decent album. It has that Decapitated sound but it's definitely tough to fill the shoes of Vitek. Amazing drummer, but it lacks the same punch on this album. Good review.

Glad to see someone mentioning in his review about the death/"thrash" guitar tone in this album. I really like though the drumming in this album. I kinda have a problem with the vocals though... think are sometimes very monotonous

"A View From a Hole" is perhaps the only decent song of the second half of the record.

I had other summaries in mind like, for example.



"Life among the ruins"









You are the only one to mention this.



Although I see - up to a degree - where you are coming from with this, read the review, there isn't one bit of irony for those band members who passed away.







If the review was ironic or insulting in any way towards those who have passed away, the mods would never got it featured and it would be negged like hell.



In the same light, one can imply that the gathering of a new line-up and this album form some kind of an irony as well with respect to the fallen Decapitated members, something which is not true by any means.







As cruel and cynical as it may sound, life goes on, and if it were the other way around for Vogg and Vitek (i'm just saying one possibility), i would be 99% positive that the same choices would had been realized.



This is not just an album, this is - among other stuff - Vogg's struggle to keep his friends alive, by making us the fans to come around this band again...



And who cares if the album isn't excellent, i will go to their live concerts in Greece and support them, because it takes real guts to move on.
