i don't really like minnow that much for some reason.

1. Everything Rests on Your Small Shoulders
2. Water
3. I Swim Like A Minnow
4. The Loneliness Inside Me...
if I had to rank them
have you checked out When The Sea Became A Giant and Year of the Rabbit, per chance? and the bonus tracks off of WITTMF?
|
| |
i have their early discog tape and i have heard the bonus track with the paragraph for a title that came on the tape version i have. and i have yotr. i thiiiiiink i have heard everything they've ever released.
|

there's a few single tracks of theirs I haven't heard... like the Into It. Over It. split but yeah there's some really solid songs in their earlier discog like "Idk My BFF Jill" love that one

I remember that commercial

the track from that split isn't that great anyway. documenting thirty days from the football etc split is really good though.
i wrote it down in case i might forget
how tall you made me feel
like i was towering over trees and buildings
(and you made it sound so easy).
now i'm wearing your strength
like a bright badge pinned to my chest
right there, you made me swear i would not forget.
i still remember that May
when a late frost taught me
that even the things we left for dead can resurface
and every step was magnified
by the sharpest snap that seemed to say
"your voice is still small, and will not carry anything"
and even the smallest words cling to the roof of my mouth
and i broke my promise again and again
it's all i can do, sitting here waiting
hoping the words will just fall out my mouth
like when you were around me
and all i need is to read what you told me
"everything else in the world disappears when your voice wraps around me"

... feeling the need to A) make a ranked list of E! E! songs or B) make a list with my favorite songwriters with Kieth in
the second or third position (behind Samson and probably Elliott)
but alas I'm going out to dinner at this really good portuguese place so it'll have to be some other time...
|
| |
ranking e!e! would be really hard.

i adore this band...great lyrics.

ummm just downloaded the new topshelf record sampler and it has a new e!e! track on it from a release called "when you are done living on borrowed time" that's supposed to be out this summer. idk if that's true, but i hope so.

I just spent nearly two hours downloading the topshelf sampler to hear the new song. it's actually pretty different from their other stuff...like there's some kind of wind instrument in the intro that reminds me of american football. oh and the vocals are especially surprising ;)
|
| |
yeah that's because the song features members of joie de vivre unless i'm mistaken (but i'm not). i honestly don't really like joie de vivre and i don't really like that song, but whatever...

It's actually the singer from Colossal Sniper. From their facebook about the song on the sampler. " IT
FEATURES PAT FORD FROM COLOSSAL (BEST BAND EVER)".

This ep by itself is okay, but when comparing it to the rest of their releases it's easily their worst.
