but some of the spoken word is so awful.

I've heard that statement lots elsewhere too, unfortunately. It seems like a rather common complaint with this album =(

Yeah, it's not really the words, but how they're saying them. It's so robotic (and not just the parts that are like put through a vocoder) and hard to listen to.

For what it's worth, there are two versions of this album - the second one is just instrumentals

(basically the same songs, just sans the vocals). It almost seems to me like Eno anticipated that 75%

of listeners wouldn't like the robotic vocals that much...

Awesome, that might be worth checking out. That's really the sole thing turning me off of this so far.

We heard you the first time, nullpoint.

I hope the album manages to grow on you zeroth, but if it doesn't then I'll try to remember to post a link to the unvocalized version (should it be streamed prior to the album's release).

Haha. I honestly just hope Nagrarok and Romulus will be happy. The latter, in particular, has promised to make me his favourite user if I review The Lion King for my 50th.

superbly written, have a pos.

Never bothered with Brian Eno, even though I'm pretty sure I have listened to his music, without knowing it.
