Pretty underwhelmed by this.

Sucks, because he has so much potential

Haven't gotten around to this yet, and may avoid it. For better or worse, Stableface is too much of an aurgasm for me to desire this too much

I agree with this review. All your points make sense. Haven't heard his debut though...

Adrenalin is awesome, you're just stuck avoiding club beats

I'm just saying, it made #19 on RA's tracks of the year for a rather obvious reason
A lot of 2011's big tracks inspired as much bickering as they did dancefloor mayhem, and Scuba's only single under his usual moniker was no different. Following in his new, looser, and housier direction, "Adrenalin" is eight minutes of rigid repetition, incessantly catchy basslines and a strobing vocal sample. But the song's lopsided progression is the important part, because three minutes in it melts away into one of the year's most decadent breakdowns, several minutes of building synth washes and whooshes that unashamedly ascend to the highest of the gurning trance heavens. The song's title might imply a certain energy, but we all know there's a different chemical driving this one.

Must be lonely over there in the minority

Was avoiding this, but if tactiturn vegetables recommend it I may have to give it a listen. Lest it turns out to be another Spiderland or something

Uggh I think this is so good.

Have either of you two heard his first LP?
|
| |
Yeah, I enjoyed this more.
|
| |
I'd like this more if it wasn't such a mess

Clouds Are Mountains felt kind of too cinematic, I liked the weird structure on his more.

I kind of don't like this album, but I adore Clouds Are Mountains. This man is tearing me apart.

Stableface is still in the top three London 'bass' tunes of all time. The emotion and nostalgia that tune evokes in me is incomprehensible
|

This is just okay so far. I would say my biggest issue with it is the hyperactive percussion. And Night is freaking terrible.
|

I just ain't hearing it. Clouds was nice but this is on the verge of being terrible.

hahaha

My only complain is that this album did not get a "proper" release; I am quite not liking the live sound on this, but this is a very, very interesting record. There is some madness in here that reminded me a bit of The Mars Volta. Sometimes it is too much, but you love it all the same.
It is a huge departure from his debut, and it gets extra points for that. I like this kind of experimentation; I prefer this over the "safeness " of most dubstep records I have heard recently.
