it's pretty 80s but not in a way that traps it in time like certain other records from that decade
part of that is due to how strong the songs & performances are but relying more on live instrumentation this time around didn't hurt either

80's are well-known for bright, crisp production but tbh I think this album takes that to a new level. Just immaculate sound that floods over you without ever getting murky or losing any sense of clarity

Production on The Seeds of Love is stunning. The alleged expenses paid for it speaks for itself really

man I love the 80s but it's probably the absolute cheesiest decade in all of music, just so much cheese

Haha fair enough. It's easily my favourite decade of all time. Musically, stylistically, you name it.

That song, along with others from this band, is easily in my top songs of all time. I remember being young and watching tv and these infomercials selling 80s mixtapes would come frequently and there would be a snippet of that song and I just adored it and kept watching tv in hopes to see the infomercial again. That song changed my life.

can't say I've listened to much from the 80s myself but this is probably the best thing I've listened to from that period, an almost flawless record.

This is easily one of the greatest pop albums to come out of the 80s.
