The part of the guitar solo in Every Day at 2:54 - 3:08 is so damn good. It just moved me in a way that it never has before

Great discussion on first page of review!
As far as album goes though it definetly
is less good than voyage with 1-2 weaker
aongs. Hopefully I change my mind on
second/third listen

Good ol' Peter Hicks. Wish I was into Hackett back then as much as I am now. Would have talked to him a lot.

If u ever get the chance u should man, even if it comes off as a little blunt

Not properly. I wasn't that into Hackett or Genesis back when I used to seem him regularly unfortunately.
He doesn't work at the college anymore and it's been a few years since I was there myself so the connections I had with him are gone now haha.

I think i like spectral mornings as much as any other song Hackett has been a part of including genesis.

You're a bit harsh with your rating, Toronto. ''The Ballad of the Decomposing Man'' is pretty bad, but the rest of the album is a sheer delight.

It's just his rating system. I'm pretty sure he likes this quite a lot.
He saves his higher ratings for the true prog classics like *cough* Porcupine Tree *cough*
