Damn I’ll have to check that but that’s a shame. This is such an amazing album.

Same old story, young and idealist, disillusioned by touring and success, new pressures piling on as a result of the hype, and then one day (without speaking to the rest of the band) he posted 'wu lyf is dead to me' on the internet and that was that

Good record though, a part of me is convinced it is better for being their only one

Whenever I come back to this, can't help but think how remarkable it is that this was a debut album from an unknown band riding a wave of word of mouth blog buzz in a year where the conversation was dominated by stuff like Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes' mega-hyped 2nd LPs, Drake 'Take Care', M83. That these guys were so young and came out sounding so unique, fully-realized and expansive is something I have a lot of respect for.

My 20s have just flown by man. It's crazy that this came out when I was 21 and I'm a few months from turning 30

"Seeing these guys at Shepherd's Bush was the worst gig I've ever been to"

Ha, yeah, I saw them in Manchester and it was pretty dreadful but I suppose replicating the sound of this record live is an impossible task
