There are some lulls on this album but finally after a few listens over the years this has warmed up to me. Guitar tone and snare sound are pretty sexy. Bass is too wonky for me at parts, but for the most part rules

I think earthborn evolution is better in terms of songwriting and structure, even though it might not be as wanky

> I feel like the only reason this band gets any attention is because they play a fretless bass and make it audible.
thats not that uncommon in tech death
anyway yea this isnt as good as i remembered, but still better than most modern stuff out there by a wide margin. they can write melodies and songs, whereas other bands just wank and call it a day. still, the breakdowns and other dxc/bdm influences on here i could do without. not very consistent.

As far as French Canadian TDM, everybody and their brother seems to worship at the alter of Luc Lemay's Gorguts...which is fine...but Beyond Creation do it better. There, I said it. When MDM-loving Gothenburgers and TDM-loving Necrophagettos can lovingly pummel one another in the same mosh-pit something special has happened. This is THAT album. Not sure what, if anything, is next for Beyond Creation but thankfully they can't take this one back.

Album is super solid but the high vocals are annoyingly loud in the mix.
