What about the new Blut Aus Nord, Vreid, Burzum, Aaskereia, Moonsorrow, Vintersorg, Peste Noire, Aosoth, ...? They are all much better than this.

oh and i meant a sense of good structure, this is just a load of shitty ideas glued onto each other with a few 'burst beats' and boom you have a song.
and if an album is pretentious, that usually means it incorporates some level of musicianship to consider itself pretentious with. Pretentiousness =/= bad music, that's just an air music can have. That's just like saying an album is bad because they produced it to make money instead of blahblahblah musical integrity.

You should check out Aosoth - III, one of the better BM records I've heard this year.
It's from the fantastic french BM scene who already brought us Deathspell Omega and Alcest.
