I really like For Emma and the new one but yeah for me it's not even close.
Always wish I dug For Emma more though tbh.

This one didn't click that much for me, I think about it far less than even A Million
Except Holocene of course, that's just life-changing

Beth/Rest is magnificent. Not quite sure how I feel about this on the whole after one listen though.

Boney how about you spend AT LEAST 6 months with Emma before coming back to this mkayyyyyy
|
| |
This is his magnus opus Boney, get it on vinyl and spin it to death and back.

This def has a lot more going on musically than For Emma and thus I imagine it will take more listens to fully unravel than For Emma did.

Anyway though, while I'll of course be spending plenty of time with this and For Emma, what of the other stuff in Vernon's oeuvre is worth checking out?
|

Tbh I've never been a fan of Volcano Choir but it might be worth a shot. The Bloodbank EP from Bon Iver is pretty sweet too. Idk about his solo stuff though.

Is it weird that I'm hearing a little bit of latter-day Coldplay in this?

Nothing beats For Emma but he tried his damnedest here. "Holocene" is probably one of the best songs of the decade tbh
