Just circle back to this TVC. Onkyo/lowercase can take time to absorb. Try reading up on this type of music too. Understanding what it is trying to achieve may help you to appreciate it.

Toad, Taku Unami, Taku Sugimoto, Otomo Yoshihide and Toshimaru Nakamura are all really prominent figures in onkyo, although almost none of their work is this sparse.

You might like some of the above's collabs with Burkhard Stangl too.

This Album ISn't Sparse and please desist from comparing John Cage's trite-ass experimentalism ad reductum to this they're really not the same!!!!

Onkyo recs: in this vein, Chamber Music Concerts Vol. 1, Tengu et Kitsune, Offing and Cymbal Violin Lapsteel will elicit high pleasures B|

In a more cluttered vein: Off-Cell's 60/40, foreign correspondents and Kawaguchi's 'n' will tickle ur pickle

And if u like it more electroacoustic oriented, Good Morning Good Night is essential, to be supplemented twice daily by I.S.O. Orchestra, At Penguin House and Kantoku Collection (but for the sake of ease, i'd go with the first ones mentioned in each category and go from there according to your preference!)

Yours Sincerely,

i like that interpretation but i would argue (almost unbearable) tension yields one, then two euphoric bursts and then it's discarded in a sort of autopilot sure but i'd say resignation

gain and loss then i guess?
