Neither do I, actually. I looked in the FAQ section, but it's as long as a Dostoyevsky novel, so I gave up looking. I just stick with quotes. I'm guessing the picture solution has something to do with selecting an avatar of sorts for the message boards, because sometimes users' profile pictures do not match their message board pictures. Can anyone help us with this?

The dude is like a male Kate Bush. And I figure - I'd do Kate Bush. Therefore...

I think I figured out both problems. Gamekeeper, to upload a picture for the forum, go to "Edit Info" and then "Edit Avatar." For the whole list of stylistic floursishes at your disposal, go here: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode. Hope that helped, bud.
Everyone else, thanks for encouraging me to stick with this. It's definitely starting to seep in. Raised it to a 3.5 as of now, but could easily see it hit a 4 with some more time.

Patrick; just a heads up, you'll bump this up during Summer. =)
I remember I got Two Dancers and thought it was pretty great, then it hit me like a wrecking ball and I bumped it to a 4.5. Wild Beasts are like a growing virus.

Steo, I think this will probably end up a 4 after a few more spins. This is deceivingly intricate record, and the lead singer's voice has grown on me considerably, though I still think Peter Silberman of The Antlers has the better voice of the two. Thanks for the encouragement, as I likely would have otherwise written off this delightful album.

yeah this is pretty great. there are times when his voice's eccentricity irks me a little, but most of it is woven in perfectly.

As much as I love Peter, I prefer Hayden, personally. =)
But yeah; this album (as well as their entire discography) grows on you immensely. It'll have a click, you'll feel it and then wham! You're hooked.

not gonna lie this guy's voice is making it hard for me to thoroughly enjoy this album

Hayden's voice takes a good while to get used to. Most people familiar with Wild Beasts' old work are probably used to it.

This album is incredible, I can't get my head around it. During the first piano notes of Lion's Share, I knew this album was going to beat Two Dancers in my "list of favorites". And I loved Two Dancers. The haunting voice of Thorpe, the cynical but intimate lyrics and the soothing melodies made Smother the only album I could listen to for two weeks in a row. One could say I was addicted. As time passed and new music was discovered, I managed to finally detach myself from the album. Now that I've survived the intense introduction to the album, I give the album a few listens a week, enjoying its beauty. Sporadically, one of the songs haunts my head on the most random moments and I can't help but sing along.

Just played Lion's Share (liked it) and Invisible (did nothing for me) on youtube. They were nice but I wasn't blown away.

This album won't blow anyone away Esky. =)
It's an album that requires time to enjoy it and the right mood.
