Wow. Good Comment, Good Comment. I forgot they played We Are The Champions in their live set. That was really awesome when they played it at Giant's Stadium.

Still would take Homecoming over BOBD and Maria anyday.

I have always hated Green Day and I like punk. They just aren't interesting at all.

Elaborate!

I'll try, The Offspring are amazing, they pull off everything well and have kept their goodness since the start. Green Day are boring, Billie has a flat boring voice and the guitars are too simple even for pop-punk. Their songs sound the same music-wise and are constantly milked by the media and their forms as the best thing ever. They aren't that good, people are so blind.

Wait Wait Wait..... BILLIE has a flat voice!??! And yer comparing that to Dexter? And Green Day's guitar's are simple by comparison to The Offspring?!?!?! The Offspring's songs sound the same too, and The Offspring havent put out a decent thing since Americana, while all of Green Day's major-label albums have been diverse and musically tight.

I'll give you that The Offspring and Green Day's career paths have been very similar. Their album course has been practically the same. Smash, Ixnay, Americana are similar in music to Dookie, Insomniac, and Nimrod. But Green Day's just better, hands down. This Message Edited On 11.19.05

I would never get rid of someone's comments who disliked Green Day, as long as their comments were relevant and not just "Green Day sucks." That's what sputnik's about, getting your musicla opinion out.

I didn't even say Green Day sucked. I like some of their albums and I really want this. I was bassically flaming the review really, but I was right.

I really wish they didn't get rid of my comment about different drummers that are better than Tre' Cool. :-/

Their live version of Wake Me Up When September Ends was played on Conan (not from the dvd) with a in studio performance and boy did Billie sing it horribly. If thats and indication how this DVD is, then i'll pass. But then again, its just one performance and not on a massive arena right?

hey kolzig...theres something you should know...its not the difficulty of the song that makes him a good guitarist its how good those three simple chords come together to make good music...and if you still dispute go listen to 1039 smoothed out slappy hours which has some crazy solos showing how good he really is...

oh and by the by, basketcase is right concerning how good someone is if they just know what goes well together. i hate it when ppl dont like three chord wonders. they never get it that its what it sounds like, not how many notes and how complex it is

Vheissiu, A lot of Green Day albums have great replay value. Dookie and Insomniac both can be played over and over again. And Nimrod occasionally. But the fact that Amercian Idiot is a change of pace for these guys still makes it retain its replay value for me.

i can respect the three chord bands and i like a lot of them but the one thing i hate is when people say they are "excellent/amazing musicians" when their not. sure i love three chord rock/punk but they are very average musicians.
