Wish I could erase this from Dredg's discography.

Great review. I never would have thought they could create such a boring record. Last album was already a mixed bag in my opinion. I was hoping they'd come up with something more experimental than Pariah. Oh well...

Horrible band name, horrible album title, horrible artwork, horrible album.

I loved El Cielo and CWA but the review is spot on - there's very little here. Kalathat, The Ornament and Another Tribe are decent, but that's about it.

How could you hate the band name?

I saw Dredg tonight and guess what, they kicked ass. They even ended the show with "Canyon".

So its not the greatest record, but its still ok, i like the feel of it and i think i can hear what they were trying to do, too bad they missed it. also sounds like it was made in a hurry.

Wow this album just slipped into the web so silently i didnt even have time to anticipate it like i anticipated 'Pariah'.

Well this album is different, in fact it was more of a collaboration album than a traditional Dredg concept album. According to Mark in an interview (http://www.examiner.com/local-music-in-los-angeles/dredg-s-mark-engles-talks-new-album-memories-of-sepultura-and-wall-of-guitar), " It could say 'Dredg and Dan the Automator' on the cover, but, it doesn’t. The review is alright I suppose, but the rating is just way to harsh? Seriously are some of the songs off here really considered worthless? I think most people need to just accept this album for what it is. dredg never make the same album twice as they are always changing up their sound.

And you mentioned that the Ornament is the only song that has a stroke of genius? You are just comparing this release with past releases i.e. El Cielo. You can't really compare a prog-artsy rock record, to a pop record thats just foolish. El Cielo is intense, Chuckles is just a chill-out record.
