I feel like paying massive amounts of money to be on L.A Ink so she could tat the cover of Storm Of The Lights Bane on my back.

I agree with you Balls that this album might go up another notch. I have only listened to this album 3 times so far and I judge an album on not only quality of musicianship but replay value too (you could say that my rating now is only preliminary). The album though, is so fucking good so far, and all of the songs have their own quality to them.

This album has grown on me so much over the last week and it's getting bumped up to a 4.5.

I don't think this deserves a 5 yet. Though, everytime I listen to this album, I just can't get over how well they hybridize their black, death, and thrash metal. Let me run through this album a few more times to determine if it deserves a 5.

I don't think it deserves a 5 period. It has some good songs, but it gets repetative towards the close of the album.

For me it's a five, being it was one of the first b.m or m.d albums I constantly enjoyed. Nights Blood, Thorns Of Crmson Death, Retribution, and Where Dead Angels Lie alone make this a top album.

I'm leaning towards getting The Somberlain before I get this. Night's Blood and Retribution are killer tracks, though.

The Somberlain is equal to this album IMO, they are both classic albums.

How did you rate it if you don't have it? It might be horrible outside of those 2 tracks.

Well, Hbp. There's this new thing called *shh* file sharing....

Basically, I download everything first. Then buy the albums I think are worth buying.

Hpb,

"but it gets repetative towards the close of the album."

Listen to the end of this album again. Its got a little bit of repetativeness throughout but that's what gives the entire album its atmosphere. I'm now bumping this up to a 5 because this album is one of the best in the genre.

Ahh you two know the sheer power of Stoem Of The Lights Bane. It does get a bit repetitive at the end. The middle is where it's at.

Just because this has nice friendly melodies doesn't mean it's the best black album ever.

It's really bland.
