I hate the term "indie folk" tbh. Idk why, but it rubs me wrong in a way "indie rock" and "indie pop" don't.
Like I would never tell someone I like indie folk, I would just say folk.

I believe the term is meant to describe folk made with an indie rock aesthetic, but stylistically I don't think I've ever heard an indie folk band that couldn't be described as either folk or folk rock.
