I really need to listen to this. Sounds like it's pretty darn good.

It's not.
Solid review, although I disagree entirely with the rating. Distinctly average at best for me.

I think that this is a very well-written review, but I agree with letsgofishing that for a 'classic' rating a review should do more to convince the reader that it is something truly special. I think with this review you're very nearly there, but not quite.
Also (like him) I tend to write longer reviews myself so that may just be personal preference.
Regardless, this is still a very good review. I've gone off The King Blues a little recently but I may have to check this out.

I was gonna review this, I think I still might when I get some time. The review was really well
written, although I can't see the album being a 5 at all. I tend to look at potential 5 albums in
terms of being an all-time classic, hence I've only given one to London Calling (funnily enough the
album I'm going to compare this to).
Edit: Ok now I've seen you gave Frank Turner's Rock & Roll EP a 1.5 I'm definitely disagreeing with
this rating haha

I don't think of music ranging from awful to classic. There are plenty of classic albums full of average musicianship and average songwriting - they just happened to drop at the right time. I gave it a 5 because it's fucking awesome, and since sputnik doesn't have a number with 'fucking awesome' underneath it, anything would have been a compromise. I don't write to convince anyone, because a review isn't an argument. I express my opinion and give it a number because I have to on here, I don't write to prove the number correct.

I agree with you on that, a review should be about the articulation of feelings rather than a number.
Its just that writing is all about audience and context- this site obviously has the number/word rating system for a reason and it seems to be an integral part of the review process for many people. If you're not writing within the confines of the site cool, but maybe mention it in the conclusion for those who are?

Great review, need to check this out, I like Itch.

Save The World, Get The Girl was fucking solid. I'll definitely be getting this

5. lol.
Good review but a dreadful band.

Have this but haven't listened to it yet.
Didn't really like their last album. 'We Are Fucking Angry' is epic though. They'd be an awesome band if the majority of their songs were more like that IMO.

We'll you've convinced me to check this out, great review.

Great album. Struggling between a 3.5 and 4. I'll put it at 3.5 for now and bump it up depending on its lasting value.

Last song is so tacky, but the rest is great. Very odd mix of music too, I quite like it.

Yeah the mix of styles was unexpected

I think they've taken a lot of influence from the rest of the UK ska/punk 'scene'- bands like Random Hand, The Skints and Sonic Boom Six.

I can see the RH and SBS influence. Not heard The Skints.

Last song is awesome bro

"adding a tangible dose of pop to their tales" i stopped reading there.

it's a good album (and a great review) but I prefer their two previous albums to this by a mile.
