just stop taking it personally, i have nothing against you except
1. your musical taste
2. this review
3. how often you post in the meds thread
all of that is outweighed by your avatar. lets just end this conversation right here: even if this review was really well written, I'd find a way to rationalize trolling this thread... 10-15 reviews into the future, you'll forget all about htis

Well to be fair, I cut that posting in the meds thread shit out a while ago (well, ya know, besides my question last night)
And okay, truce.
But ya know.
The scars will still run deep.

Okay, revised review, if for nothing else than my own satisfaction. I really did rush my initial review, and as I read it over and over I did realize how disjointed it sounded. Hopefully this new one flows better (fewer "fancy" words, dragged on sentences, and convoluted analogies).
Also, my opinion has changed quite a bit on this album. I listened to Person Pitch again and THEN this and realized that there are quite a few things that bug me about Tomboy now. Its really repetitive, which is fine, if he didn't try to condense so many sounds together instead of trying to space everything out. Also, the tracks that are mostly vocal can be a bit grating (especially when listening on headphones).

what's wrong with that acad?
but also, anyone who claims there aren't a shit ton of ac fanboys here clearly missed the
ridiculousness that happened as soon as panda bear sang his first notes. i am borderline ac fanboy
and love his voice, but come on guys...

Actually, my sister uses my computer to play music a lot, as I tend to use my CD's/iPod.
That being said, the first two would still be most played. Animal Collective being that high up is mostly her (she's become addicted lately).

this is fantastic. mostly focusing on and digesting the songs that weren't released a singles, they are amazing, i lov sceherezade or whatever. jetty and sufer's hymn are instantly included in lennox's best tracks. i love person pitch so much and i dont think he'll ever top it but it simply would not have been as satisfying if he made an album that sounded just like that. In a Radiohead-esque transformation, he reinvented his sound but still pushes the parts of his sound that make him such an incredible songwriter.

Listening to this now; 8 tracks in. This is probably the best thing i've heard out of anyone in the Animal Collective camp. Will most likely be a 4.
EDIT: Nevermind. Started to taper off at the end. 3.5 is about right. Still probably the best album i've heard from AC or any of the people in it.

Your new review is just as enjoyable as the old one, maybe even more.

Album really did start to annoy me after a while. Listening to it on headphones revealed some good qualities as well as some really bad qualities.
