Tbh outside of One, any of their albums have a big or several small flaws. Firstly, I can't endure the high pitch of Ashe for the entirety of an hour, secondly Polaris is very inconsistent and has both great and very forgettable songs and thirdly: Sonder is way too short. Therefore, it's easy for me to see this as their best album. The avgs on here and RYM would double down on that

This doesn't feel like an album to me, and never has. More like a compilation I guess, just Concealing Fate with some bookends.
Still like it a lot, obviously.

I see your point, it doesn't really flow in a album way
Still, it is their best work imo

Gotta admit Deception still gets me.

They would never capture the same energy again. Probably their best. Maybe tied with Polaris imo

If you can't get into it I'm surprised to can get into their other releases. This is their pinnacle.

Easily their best. A little nostalgic this one, loved jamming it all the time back in high school. I got my dad into these guys too, mainly the Altered State album since he's a prog guy. Eden is probably their best song.

Definitely their most visceral and energetic record. Seeing these songs live made me appreciate them more

First time listening to this. I am used to Ashe's vocals but damn Dan can sing.

Dan can sing, but he improved massively from this as a singer. In this he's basically shouting and yelling most the time

Deception is pretty amazing, gotta say

Ambience on this album claim the best moments, Concealing Fate great track but never find myself returning to any of the other cuts, prefer Ashe to Dan, after Sonder this notion is solidified
