Thanks for all the criticism. I'll tighten this review up a bit.
@teo; I'll agree with the first two points you make. The bittersweet part comes in when I say "limits their boundaries", though I probably should've made it more obvious that it's a downside.
@Irving; thanks a lot for all of the criticism. It really helps. Yeah, I realized a bit that it didn't flow as well as my other reviews when I reread it. I wrote this thing pretty late last night though, so I was a little out of it (I had to go back and make multiple edits to fix stupid typos I made).
Anyways, I'll work on fixing this up before school.

I kinda knew you'd review this, good job though especially on the first paragraph; very well-worded.
Album is between a 3.5 and a 4.5 for me, I need to listen more of course but the tracks keep alternating between absolutely amazing and "just" pretty good at the minute.

H'okay, edited it up a bit. Hopefully it makes it a better read. I'm actually not liking this review too much. Simply because I didn't have much to say. It's a Strokes album. It's good. They're doing everything that made them a great band plus experimenting a bit. I'm also not the biggest Strokes devotee, so it's hard for me to really get too emotional about reviewing them.

Dw, give it a week and I'll give this the most cringe-worthy 5 review ever.

I expect everyone who writes a review for this to be in the 3.5-4 range, so I guess somebody needs to break the mold. :P
It's a really great album though. I originally gave it a 3.5 but changed it once I realized that even though not every song sticks with me, I can't help but just let this album play every time I start it. It's so compact with so many great ideas.

This record gets better and better the more I listen to it. It has enough musical experimentation to be new for them, but retain their own characteristics. Leaning in the solid 4 range right now
Call Me Back is kind of a WTF moment though...

I still put the debut over it just because every song is immediately catchy and gets stuck in my head.

definitely their best since ROF.
cuz nobody likes First Impressions.
i feel like this album could grow on me, but i don't have the time to give it another chance. and the whole Billy Joelian Casablancas thing [see what i did there] is just laughable.

lots of good here but nothing standout...
probably my least favorite of theirs ever, but keep in mind I used to be absolutely obsessed with the Strokes a while ago.
