I'm seeing these live tomorrow, hopefully Matt will be on one of his good nights.. But their setlist recently has seemed to
be just this, Casually Dressed and Hours.. it's a shame they seem to be erasing M&H and TDTT off the face of existance. Even though quite a lot of people really disliked those albums they had some great tracks, and some of the melodies on
M&H were amazing, definitely a grower album though.
But this album has started to grow on me, something kind of irked me about it to begin with, they don't have as many of
the sudden melodic breaks as M&H had on tracks likes Beneath The Burning Tree and Waterfront Dance Club..

Yes, I've noticed that myself. In fact, it seems like your thoughts about this band are roughly the same as mine. The thing is, you can tell at their live shows that the fans like the heavier (& older) stuff. Hence why this album looks back to that style more.

Anyway, let us know how they play, as I'm seeing them in 2 weeks time.

Well, they were not disappointing in the slightest. Matt had some dodgy moments, but over all his singing was fine, and he's quite an entertaining frontman.. Weather was abit crap though, since it was outside and stuff.. Richard gave us a little bass solo after they had some technical problems, and obviously they played mostly their first 2 and latest album, though they did play Into Oblivion. But as you said earlier, Kris is pretty much spotless live, he's amazing aha

They were pretty amazing live though tonight

Great to hear all of the above. Hopefully they bring that form down under.

My favourite album that was released last year. Although I prefer Casually Dressed, I admit that this album's guitar lines are better, although I prefer the sound of Casually Dressed

Woh, the big 5... for 2 of their albums obviously. Huge call Rob, but obviously you're a fan.

Giving this album another listen and, holy shit it's so sexy

"Even though quite a lot of people really disliked those albums they had some great tracks, and some of the melodies on M&H were amazing"

Hell yeah the melodies ruled. My favorite on that album has to be "To Die Like Mouchette"

Album was solid, though it lacked some hooks and Gavin's vocals (ala Your History Of Mine)

Watching that new video of theirs, it really strikes home just how many line-up changes this band has had.
