"There’s almost nothing good about it, when we’re talking vocals, production, songwriting, musicianship, lyricism, general lack of testosterone. Just some slightest glimpses of better music to come"

I think you are exaggerating but admittedly nostalgia still plays a big part of me enjoying this. I haven't listened in a while so I might bump my rating down eventually.

Jaws Theme Swimming, though, is one of their absolute best songs.

This is a fantastic album, nostalgia or not. I just started listening to these guys about a year ago so basically zero nostalgia and I fucking love this album.

I've been listening since it was released and it was my first BN album so it's good to hear it still holds up.

It's funny how this album is so much a product of its time yet it still sounds amazing and hits all the right notes for me today.

I have to be in the right mood for it now. Part of me wants to claim I've outgrown it but I don't think that's true because occasionally it's still every bit the 5/5 it was when I was a teenager. Seems to work best for me now in the summer. It's probably my least listened to BN now, though (not counting YFW). Even the Demos are more my speed now, especially if you mix them together with their one-off singles like Mene and Out of Range.

^deleted the above comment.

For the sake of transparency (no idea how sputnik ran out of this so abruptly in the last couple of days), this was not because it contained either sexual assault apologism or (l o l) internet death threats, it was just wildly off-topic and provocatively phrased. Apologies to all concerned

Now how does none of that get deleted but me preparing to make a subpar bait comment about this album being overrated lasts 10 seconds at most?

If you want total deletion for comments by both parties, you're in the wrong thread.

I still love this

I don't throw the whole thing on super often, but anytime I hear a song from it, it makes me happy.

Now, I kinda want to throw this in the car and listen on the daily commute for a while
