I do wish I could figure out what it is about this that makes it such a compelling listen. It's not as utterly fuckin freezing as Funeral Moon nor as much of a ritual as Northern Sky. This album has left hundreds, if not thousands of dull-as-fuck black metal albums repetitively riffing away in its wake. But as soon as the t/t starts I'm absolutely locked in here. I don't get it.

it's just a perfect amalgam of what makes raw black metal compelling. good riffs, hypnotic percussion, and a lo-fi yet euphoric production that ties it all together. pretty simple i think

Yeah was wondering about the same thing actually. It's so addicting, but what specifically makes this one stand out I can't really understand. I guess the riffs are just too good or something. Don't know.
