I don’t remember ever being particularly fond of the last four tracks here a few years back when I jammed this a lot, but, damn, they really do strengthen this album. Especially Brothers. Probably my favorite track on the album now.

will yip is honestly a pretty good fit for this band consdiering one of my biggest issues with later defeater is the repetitive ass stale concept so derek being kinda buried is not a bad thing lol his performance as a vocalist is really strong and having him pushed back makes the thudding rhythm section especially stand out. i’m with it
