I can see why some/most people wouldn't like SUAF, but after a release like TVW, it stands little chance.

Great review. I mostly agree - not listened enough times yet, I don't think it's better than VW, but I still think it's really good. The real orchestral instruments are great.

The main flaw with turisas' latest effort is the fact that the symphonic elements are used too much. Much too much. As on the longer songs, they are used to the point where, forgiving the band wanting to use grandiosity as their main focus, the idea of 'epic' becomes lost in the flurry of symphonic material. However, i believe that the longer songs are written quite well, so as to form not-as-complex song structures, as evident on the previous albums. Yes, this is their weakest effort in my opinion, but one cannot argue that the black sabbath cover is such a barrel of fun.
