Nice! You surprise me more and more. I only have to point out; Je suis très heureux de l'avoir appris.
Don't speak at the past; you keep on learning and improving from week to week, just like I do with my English. We just have to practice a little bit, day after day.

"There's also something about the reviewer's voice to be said here..."

I forgot to add, what did you mean with this? At first I thought it had something to do with the "too personal" subject, but it seems you refer to something different. I hope you do not mind.

Oh for sure it'll be no problem at all. I think my explanation is best-served by showing you how I myself was taught that lesson:

http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/39679/Pink-Floyd-Is-There-Anybody-Out-There/

That's my review for Pink Floyd's Is There Anybody Out There?. Read it, and then look up thebhoy's (a Staff writer - he used to be Contributor back then though) comments on it. In his comments he hints at an overall "narrative" style - a certain "voice" that everyone should have. Finally, pay a visit to his Sufjan Stevens The Age of Adz review, which is a perfect example of the poise and structure we should all try to achieve. This exercise will take you quite a while but trust me, it will help - thebhoy's review of The Age of Adz is probably hands-down the best thing I've seen on this site.

I hope this helps =)

Ouch. Of course, you may be right right. I tell you, the original draft for the review was thrice as long, but my obsession with minimalism (using your term) forces me to cut as much as possible. I have trouble finding balance between conciseness and detail, and you made it apparent.

I will reflect on your words, they are much appreciated. Thanks.
