Honestly, this album far surpasses Deliver Us ... Back then their melodies were frilly and mainstream-ish--but here, the melodies are much better. I'm not positive, but this may just be better then Undoing Ruin ..

um this is pretty mainstream in its construction. this reminds me of older soilwork a lot. plus it's
pretty much impossible not to sound "mainstream"ish and play melodeath or metalcore.

meh
was hoping this would be a 4+ for me. Thanks darkest hour

ok for the last time deliver us > undoing ruin end of story

I am with Balls on this, I like Undoing Ruin better than Deliver Us. However, both are killer albums. I liked what I have heard so far, but I have yet to hear the whole album. I have always dug Darkest Hour, Eternal Return lacked some of their, though it had some great heavy tracks, but it does seem they are on the right path now.

The first 5 tracks and Terra Solaris are prime Darkest Hour, but the rest feels weak and uninspired.

I have to agree that Undoing Ruin was the band's peak.

Albums solid and a lot more enjoyable than most of the mainstream melodeath released recently

good to agree with kyle on something again

Deliver Us is best just for having "Soothsayer" on it

Apparently Jared can't rate anything that isn't really symphonic avant-garde black metal above a 3 these days

Album is good. I still can't really rank it with the others yet. Undoing Ruin will always be my favorite as it really got me into metal in the first place. This album and the Eternal Return seem similar to me. Deliver us was "mainstreamish" but awesome. Their early stuff is just thrashy as fuck.

the tracks i have heard off of this were really unremarkable
