I only got to play the platform version for the PC. I remember that there was a level which involved fighting off the Hydra's (gradually increasing number of) heads. It was seriously a game which could be won purely on the basis of jumping and swinging your sword.

That being said, 10 year old me only beat the "easy" setting, and was promptly rewarded with the message: "CONGRATULATIONS. But to be a true hero try beating the more difficult levels."

I gave up.

Really awesome review for an awesome soundtrack/movie, I enjoyed reading this quite a bit. I might review the Fantasia soundtrack (that is, unless you want to) in the near future, if I'll find the time.

It's all yours Vanderb0b! There's enough Disney to go around for everyone! =) My next Disney review will probably only come after I've written nine more pieces anyway, so I'm in no rush! Take her away!

LOL! What gave me away!?!?!!!

I just knew from the passionate way you wrote the Mulan review another Disney soundtrack was coming. Not necessarily this one, although I held it a strong contestant.

jeremy irons as scar and james earl jones as mufasa!

Top 3 together easily. Irons and Earl Jones are pure gold in their roles.

Nagrarok, I am now of the opinion that you can read minds.

It's such a shame that Disney really doesn't make em like they used to anymore. I'm just so glad that all these pieces of gold happened in my childhood LOL.

Hercules is definitely among my very favourites, I'm glad these classics came out around that time too.

I call The Lion King for 50th!

I just watched that. It was fucking amazing. I couldn't help smiling and feeling a little choked up. It takes The Gospel Truth and RIPS it to shreds.

Hell yes. A personal favourite of mine is Be Prepared. It wouldn't be a bad thought to put the Disney soundtracks in one place here.

You make a good point. Might we be able to get the mods to do that?

There's already a Disney page, but it's quite empty, and most soundtracks like these have been filed under a.) Soundtracks or b.) their original composers/singers.

The mods are the only ones who can, of course, but I'm not sure if they're willing to put in the effort. The sountrack page in general is a mess, we just should have the different (main composers) listed, making an exception in the case of Disney and possible others that go together since it's much easier.

I posted about it in the new suggestions thread. Hopefully something comes out of it. I'll probably stop filing reviews such as these under "Soundtrack" in the future (assuming I do more lol).

The game actually looks pretty fun, unlike most Disney games (except for Aladdin)

I still stand by my assertion that it's God Of War for kids, though. Compare:
