I remember listening to this a week or 2 ago and thinking "This wasn't THAT bad... maybe i'll rate it a 3.5 after another listen or 2."

I haven't listened to it at all since then. Yeah, 3 seems about right.

Just listened to this a few times and I can say it fulfilled my expectations.

It's indeed as bad as I expected.

More specifically, for example, the first track reminded me of alexisonfire's "waterwings(and other pool side fashion faux pas)" so for a second I was like"wait, this maybe has actually one or two good tracks",but then I realised that they're the Architects we got on "hollow crown" and even worse and that the whole album hasn't really anything good.

Plus,I heard a lot of people saying that the best track is"learn to live"...

And that was the part I realised that if THIS is the hightlight of the album according to random opinions, the album truly sucks.

Hollow Crown > any angry music

fuck no.

there isn't really a "bad" or a "good" place to"start with them"

all u gotta do is listen to nightmares, maybe ruin too(just because I haven't really listened to it yet) and ignore the rest of the crap they released

A few gems, a lot of mediocrity. So disappointed.

On "Hollow crown" I just wanted to scream and kick everything. Now they're so much softer, though I love "day in day out".

Played it again today and actually wanted to bump it to a 3.5... the album is good for what it is.... Apart from day in day out which is awful.

'An Open Letter To Myself' and 'Heartburn' feel really awkward to listen to. It's as if they deliberately tried to make it cliched and 'emo'. :

Still good tunes though.

The Heartburn video makes me cringe. Fucking sell outs, they look like take that or coldplay in the video.

I think I know what they'll eventually doing though, I predict they'll change their sound like thrice did alt rock/we, just not as drastically. They've stated numerous times they don't really listen to metal or hardcore any more.

Still remember seeing them when they were excellent.

Non stop chanting for an encore for ten minutes straight. Nothing. That was some weak shit there.
