Just kidding this rules guys. Still don't think balls will like it much though for some reason.

This is sounding pretty sweet so far. Complex riffing, good vocals, great melodies and no keyboard overkill. It's more like folky melodeath with the guy from Equilibrium on vocals than folky black metal with the guy from Equilibrium on vocals.

Yeah it's not that black metally. There's some nice groove going on though. Kinda like a less bombastic Equilibrium.
Probably better than Rekreatur too.

Not gonna lie this is still cheesy, but last I checked, cheese is good if you put some beef under it, and this is beefy.

Reminds me more of Kalmah. If Kalmah and Eluveitie decided to trade a few band members. All in all pretty good.

Nice to see some people liking this

this sounds cool i might get this although i usually steer clear of black metal

Yeah I love that it's, like somebody already pointed out, meaty, but the melodies are also so well crafted that it makes for a perfect mix. If I want to listen to folk metal, this is the kind of thing I'm thinking of basically.

The first song is moderately lame but the rest of the album rules.

Giving this a listen now, hoping to be awed.
EDIT- It's ok.

Give it a few listens and your opinion might change, that was my initial impression. I could see my rating dropping though.
|
| |
Yeah initial listen and it's like a 3. It has some really nice moments but the majority seemed cliche and boring (reminds me a lot of what I think about Equilibrium, which is ironic).
