i wouldnt hate this as much if it didnt seem so, like, disingenuous
like all you need to do is put a bunch of jumbled blues riffs and terrible vocals and just generally fuck around and you've got yourself a masterpiece
i feel like praising this is literally undercutting people who actually actively try to make good music

used to be obsessed with this album a few years ago but can see why some would hate it. doc at the radar station is probably my fav beefheart, it really predates some of the later US maple style math and noise rock bands i like
