It's not anything hardcore, there's no real hardcore in it. More metal than anything.

I saw an interview where they said they don't like being labeled into a genre. Because if the members felt like making a country album they still would release it under the name "The Dillinger Escape Plan".

I saw Dillinger Escape Plan live when they came back in February and they put on a great show [I was mainly there for the Locust]. I wasn't too fond of the strobe lights, though. I'd only heard some of their songs up to that point, and what I heard I had liked. Their show made me want to check out their music more, but I'd never gotten around to it.

Nice reviews. I'm going to check out this album soon.

they arent hardcore, its a branch called Tech Metal (technical, and there are alot of bands with death metal vocals in this genre) bands in this genre include, Psyopus, Highwater Waltz, Sleep Terror, and Necrophagist
