Suffer the Children's chorus brings the shivers.

also I disagree about the Gary Jules cover of Mad World, I always hated that version. But the TFF version is very good, typical new wave & synthpop song, with a great video of it (also watchable on Youtube).
Favourite songs:
1. Start Of The Breakdown
2. Watch Me Bleed / The Hurting
4. Suffer The Children / Mad World / Pale Shelter
7. The Prisoner / Ideas As Opiates / Memories Fade
10. Change (still very good)

Still a great cover, though I can't believe so many people prefer it over the original

Prisoner and opium are such weird songs

Jules version isn't neccesarily badly perfomed but it takes out everything interesting about the song for me. His version is really just a boring, cliche ballad

The dancing in the original's music video is untouchable and cannot be surpassed

I've had friends saying Jules' version is better because it is a sad song and it sounds sad, unlike Tear for Fears' which is too happy and poppy
Crappy argument imo, I think that's actually the point of the song

I also don't consider the original as happy sounding. It sounds more manic and panic-y

"unlike Tear for Fears' which is too happy and poppy"
i.e. it's got a faster tempo and has drums. Heard that a million times too

Those people who call Mad World by TFF happy don't have a clue, as always.
Angst-ridden, paranoid for example are words I would associate with the whole The Hurting album. That's why I also absolutely adore late 70's & early 80's post-punk music btw (british new wave & synthpop like early TFF of course too).
