the main synth loop in genetic doesn't ring well with me, nor do i think it mixes that well with the background synths. i almost feel like it would be prettier if the sytnh loop were to be taken out.

mm, I can see that. At first it seems inappropriately aggressive, if that makes any sense? The track is so epic, though, for lack of a better word.

hahaha oh man I wish that was a genre. I would so have Boss Level on my pie chart. Have you guys heard No Widows from the new Antlers album? It sounds like an underwater level from the original SNES version of Donkey Kong Country
and thanks, Deviant. I think I'd have a hard time calling this ambient or drone though; neither really sit right with me (even though I'm sure they're technically correct).
