As your first, my advice is to avoid first person, so next time no "I"s. Also the first paragraph, it's not bad to go into history, and when you're not then saying that you're not is pointless.
After much thought I realized that this could be a precursor to another element in modern metalcore releases: the clean interlude. It’s quite evident that bands such as All Shall Perish and Sea of Treachery have taken this idea to heart
That's real obvious. Way before those bands has that been used. Killswitch, Shadows Fall, All That Remains, hell after a year when this came out later metalcore bands started to use that "clean interlude" thing. Even before this band, other earlier metalcore bands had it.
Good review for a first, and I gotta say that I love this album so much, nothing wrong with this. For those that complain about the vocals or the production, man up and take it.

Hate the production on this album. Pretty good, though. Oh and the clean interlude thing was happening way before this. There was a stage where every metalcore album had an acoustic track, particularly in the european scene.
|
| |
yeah i love this album too. Production is meh, the vocals aren't bad or anything. Just wished he would've changed it up a little more. What do you guys think of the recommended albums?

Listen to Skycamefalling's "10.21" and Shai Hulud's "That Within Blood Ill-Tempered" for starters.
Another band that is kinda considered classic along with 7A7P is Botch, they play metallic hardcore/mathcore. Listen to their CD "We Came As Romans".
|
| |
yeah I know Botch and Shai Huluud pretty well, haven't heard the other though

Integrity, Kiss it Goodbye, Arkangel, All out War, Strife, Morning Again

@ffs:
@fr33lord: This is awesome, but if you're looking for over the top musicianship, I'd say Dillinger Escape Plan, Botch and
Starkweather are better for that.
@ghetto: As others have stated, I don't think the intro part is needed, but decent review other than that. Looking
forward to more reviews. I KNOW YOU'LL MAKE IT!
|
| |
yeah if you want over the top definitely check out Botch. I can't even comprehend what they're doing haha
