I had something similar with The Sorrow. Listened the shit out of them back in the day back when mediafire was my main source of music. When I switched to streaming they just got lost in the shuffle and just randomly happened across one of their songs recently. I had the intro riff/drums to Raising the Devil in my consciousness but never could remember where they came from.

I should probably boot up my old laptop and go through my old music because I'm sure I've forgotten about more.

This is even better than I remembered it being. Love the balance between intense drumming/riffing and memorable vocal melodies.

Haste The Day offers their most promising release, full of technical guitar work, terrific lyricism, and unique sound.

This is such a great album. Love the guitar work throughout, and it definitely holds up. I think this album pulls off the melodic side of Metalcore just about better than any other album of the era

Travesty, The Place That Most Deny (second half is one of my favorite passages of music ever), White As Snow… all 10/10 tracks

Still think most of this is done better by ABR but White As Snow is pretty sweet

This has always appealed more to me than anything I have heard by ABR but I do get the comparison

this album is such a great blend of radio-friendly choruses and off-kilter insanity. Incredible hooks and transitions, I'll never forget this. MY NAME IS DARKNESS. I'VE UNCLOAKED MY FACE TO THE LIIIIIIIIGHT m/

Yeah this album is s tier when it comes to choruses and vocal melodies. I agree that the heavier side of their sound is nothing special, but the melodic stuff is undeniably great imo

Forgot this existed for a while and it just came up on shuffle. Still slaps honestly.
